First week in London

The first week in London is now over.. And oh boy, what a week it was!

As I have told my friends leaving Oulu felt for the first time really difficult after such an amazing semester! Really this semester was the best I have ever experienced in Oulu!! Somehow it was magical. And I "blame" it on our lovely exchange students. It was funny to notice that during the last days in Oulu that I was already thinking in english and talking to myself in english. I actually believe I spent this semester more time with esn and exchange students than with "normal" finns. And I enjoyed every second of it. But the only bad thing is that if you spend time with exchange students that means also that you have to say all the time goodbyes... That's why
I felt really sad and empty when I was on the train on my way to Tampere. Oulu will be always there, but not these amazing exchange students!

During the last weeks in Oulu I didn't really sleep well since we were partying a lot. So I slept almost the whole way to Tampere and when I was awake I was amazed how beautiful Finland looked like! I had already forgotten how beautiful my home country actually looks like during the summer. In tampere I had a nice meal with my brother and his girlfriend. But then on the airport I had a big problem with my cabin luggage because Ryanair allows only one bag. And I had a laptop bag and other small bag. At the end I had to find a plastic bag to put them all there. Really stupid. But the flight went otherwise really well. Then late in the night I arrived here in London. I saw drunken people and I felt like home.. ;) I took a taxi to my hostel. And there was waiting a big suprise..Because some sort of reason they didn't have any reservation for me. And they were totally booked out. So there I was with my bag at 2am without any place to stay in a city that I don't know at all. Luckily I was able to find an other hostel. Then next day I started my internship! Next 3 days I went after the work to check some flats. And on wednesday night I finally moved in to a nice flat. At the moment I'm sharing the house with one spanish girl. And she is really lovely! We will probably get one more flatmate. And I hope she/he will be also adorable and outgoing. I just love my new home. Although it's expensive.. I pay know ca. £400/month. But luckily it takes only about 10 minutes to get to my workplace! Perfetto! And my room is big enough so welcome to visit me!

Last week I was working together with an other trainee. But she flew on friday back to Finland. That means I'm working now alone. The work is getting every day better although i still feel really stupid. But I'm sure that after few weeks I'll know already everything and I can do my job with 100%.

And you know what...?! This climate in this island causes really strange things... I had for the first time ever a hangover! I had a headache and I even had to throw up! But only twice.. But I blame it on the food I ate and on the climate. And when I was walking the other day in a park I all of a sudden got an urge to get immediately flowers from someone.. And normally I really don't like so much about those kind of over romantic things.. But I guess it had something to do with all the couples I saw making out in the park. :)

Today because of the bank holiday I didn't need to work! That's why I had time to walk around the city. And still I'm not used to how these cars drive here. I'm so confused when I'm crossing the street. I'm sure that if I ever will get hit by a car it will happen here in London! Luckily there is written in some streets in which direction you have to look when you are crossing the street. That helps alot! But still these drivers a crazy. How the hell they got the idea of driving in a wrong site of the road?!

Now after the long weekend I'm now relaxed and ready for the new week! Three months will definitely go really quickly by in this amazing city!

I really love my life! And I hope that all your dreams come also true. Because living a dream makes life so wonderfull!

Kisses!
